Bilberry is a member of the Blueberry, Grape and Blackberry family and grows in abundance throughout temperate regions of the world.
Bilberries contain naturally high levels of a flavenoid known as Anthocyanidin.
Anthocyanidin helps the flow of blood / nutrients to the eyes and is crucial for lowering the risk of many diseases associated with the eyes. It is also believed to help regenerate Rhodospin, the purple pigment in the retina, for clearer night vision.
